Registration for tryouts for fall sports opens July 1. Students must register for fall sports in Aspen and turn in all forms by July 31. To register in Aspen, go to Pages, Other, Voorhees Sport Forms and fill out online forms listed. Turn in the paper sports physical form—signed by your doctor with a physical within 365 days of the start of practice—to the nurse’s office. If applicable, also turn in the epipen, inhaler, and/or diabetic management paper forms (also signed by doctor, new forms required each school year) to the nurse’s office. Because forms need to be reviewed by the school physician before tryouts, please turn them in by July 31 at the very latest. Forms, detailed info on how to use the Aspen registration, and health office contact information are available at http://www.nhvweb.net/vhs/healthoffice/athletic-registration-information/
Concussion testing must be completed before tryouts begin. Incoming freshmen and juniors must schedule a test with the trainers; scheduling details TBD. Rising sophomores or seniors who were tested last year are covered by that test for this year.
In addition to the camp at Woodglen July 23-26 (signups open now, see flyer on our “forms” page), there will be a clinic at Centenary University July 30-31 (details to follow).
